Elevation Engineering & Manufacturings team are working in partnership with this famous household brand, supporting their exciting recruitment campaign, based Rotherham. We are looking to add an apprentice trained Toolmaker.The duties and responsibilities involved in this role include:*Working in the toolroom, maintaining, repairing and producing new tooling *Setting of millers, lathes, surface and cylindrical grinders, radial drillers, bench work fitting and finishing *Machining of 1 off components and machine parts*Supporting the maintenance department with any routine repairs to mechanical parts*Working from detailed engineering drawings and diagrams, samples and existing tools *Quality check of all work produced using micrometers, verniers, and gauges*Routine maintenance and upkeep of the toolroom machinery and working area*Play an active part in continuous improvement processes*Comply with all factory health and safety regulations*Operate /program CNC controlled millers with siemens/heidenhain controlsThe ideal candidate will have the following skills:*Produce products from prototypes/customer drawings*Must be able to set and operate all conventional toolroom based machinery*You must be able to follow instructions with a methodical approach*Strive for continuous improvement *Solve problems in a timely response*Have a basic knowledge of health and safety practices Shifts - Days Contract type - PermanentIf you are an experienced toolmaker, looking for your next opportunity in a well established, reputable organisation, then please click apply!
