An exciting opportunity has become available for a Shift Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to be working for a heavy industry business in Rotherham. The successful Shift Mechanical Maintenance Fitter will report into the Maintenance Team Leader and will be responsible preventative and reactive maintenance across site.Working Hours: Continental shift - 4 on 4 off (days and nights)Salary: £42,000 + attractive benefit packageShift Mechanical Maintenance Fitter Duties and Responsibilities Include: * Respond to breakdowns on machinery such as furnaces, overhead cranes and crushers etc.* Responsible for recording all work undertaken* Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) duties when scheduled* Conduct regular inspections whilst assisting in the completion and review of risk assessments for the department* Both working alone and alongside other engineers to combine a great deal of initiative and enthusiasm* Working in line with H&S procedures and policiesThe successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience: * Apprentice trained in Mechanical Engineering (level 3 or above * Previous experience in a heavy industry manufacturing environment* Ability to work on your own as well as part of a team* Ability to work under pressure
