Job Description

I am now working with a Manufacturing Company located in Rotherham, South Yorkshire who are now looking to recruit a highly driven, Production Supervisor to join the team. This will be on Days, Monday to Friday including.Client DetailsLocated in Rotherham, South Yorkshire my client is part of a Global Manufacturing and Production Company who supply products worldwide. The business is currently going through a large investment period with new machines coming into the business. Due to internalpromotions, they are now looking to recruit a highly driven, Production Supervisor to join the team.DescriptionAs the New Production Supervisor you will have full responsibility for your small team of employees which includes semi skilled, Shop Floor Staff. You will make sure all products on your shift are manufactured to customer standards before despatch, whilemaintaining high quality and safety of all employees.Main Responsibilities

  • lead the Production team to ensure they are engaged and high performing with a focus on problem solving and teamwork.
  • To ensure that site requirements are documented, briefed out and trained out to all staff.
  • To manage the availability of labour against the plan and to work with colleagues to optimise labour across the Manufacturing functions.
  • To co-ordinate maintenance activities in conjunction with the Engineering team to deliver planned and reactive maintenance.
  • To liaise and co-operate with colleagues in Technical and Quality teams to ensure that quality standards are maintained.
  • To participate in problem solving initiatives to reverse poor trends & drive improvements.
  • To gain a solid understanding of the Process to enable direct involvement in the 3 areas with regards to machine and labour planning
  • To be able to co-ordinate the Manufacturing operations with regards to ensuring the Production plan is carried out efficiently and cost effectively.
  • To always be conscious of reducing all and any types of waste identified, including, waste of product, time, effort, energy, movement, money.
ProfileThe successful Production Supervisor should be able to demonstrate the following key skills:
  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • A great understanding all manufacturing processes
  • Previous experience of managing a team with great people management skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • The ability to set targets and manage performance to achieve these results
  • Strong Problem-solving ability
  • Sound analytical and administration skills
  • Computer literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Job OfferThis is an excellent Production Supervisor opportunity to join a Global Manufacturing Company located in Rotherham and will come with strong progression opportunities into Production Management. You will be on days, with a yearly salary of £25,000 to £35,000depending on transferable skills and background experience.
