  • You will be managing production and maintenance activities at their South Yorkshire site ensuring efficient, safe and effective management of personnel and services provided to customers both internal and external
  • Further you will be providing a safe and fulfilling environment for employees based on site, ensuring current and future codes of practice and standards are applied and adhered to, whilst ensuring that all cylinder filling targets are met consistently
  • Fulfilling the duties of site landlord, acting as main point of contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring duties given under COMAH are completed, maintaining site infrastructure and ensuring that SHEQ requirements are met
  • You will be responsable for all cost centres related to production and maintenance, ensuring that financial targets within the areas are met
  • Continuously seek improvements in the efficiency and safety of local operations through the adoption of Best Operating Practice and through the development of the skills and competencies of employees. This requires planning, coaching, setting and appraisingof SMART KPIs and objectives for direct reports and in turn support for them to do likewise with their teams
  • Building teams and facilities to meet flexible and changing demands aligned to the PSO requirements
  • You will deliver strategies which will ensure the operational activities
What you will require to hold:
  • You must have a NEBOSH Certificate or commitment to complete if not already qualified and ISO9001:2015 - ISO14001 operating procedures and systems awareness
  • Demonstration of managing compliance with standards, operating procedures and specifications in operations and SHEQ
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and legislative requirements to the role (including Health & Safety at Work Act, COSHH, COMAH, PSSR,CDM)
  • You must be able to communicate at all levels and to manage disciplinary and disputes procedures
  • Competent Influencing and Change Management Skills and experience in a challenging environment is required
  • Proven track record in managing and motivating personnel to develop their skills and encourage their participation and drive continuous improvement through for example, six sigma, LEAN
  • Ability to understand and react to the fluctuating demands of the business to prioritise and maintain high efficiency and customer satisfaction within agreed cost parameters
  • You own experience of cylinder filling & handling or a similar manufacturing operation, and you have good written and verbal communicator
  • You must have a high level of personal integrity
  • Financial awareness & budgetary control experience is needed for this role
