Job Description

THE COMPANY:Brewster Partners are working with our client in the Rotherham area to recruit a General Manager / Operations Manager to oversee the operational side of their manufacturing business.THE JOB:Within this small business, your role would be varied:

  • Taking a lead on customer orders, ensuring these are passed effectively to the workshop for production
  • Stock control - ensuring adequate stock levels for optimum production output without overstocks
  • Purchasing - ordering of parts and spares, selecting suppliers, negotiating terms, managing relationships
  • Management - managing a team of operatives
  • Continuous improvement - bringing forward ideas operationally to ensure the continuing effectiveness of the business
    • This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has built up experience in the above area over their career so far and would relish the opportunity to be involved in a growing business in a pivotal role.THE PERSON:To be successful in your application, you will need to have strong management experience. We are looking for someone able to direct and lead staff to ensure customer satisfaction as an end focus result. Experience in a manufacturing or engineering business is essential, as is a good level of purchasing experience.
