Job Title: Occupational TherapistGrade:Band 6Trust: Rotherham NHS Foundation TrustLocation: Rotherham Hospital S60 2UDHours: Monday to Friday 08.00-16.00Pay rate: From £21.80Are you an experienced occupational therapist Do you have evidence-based experience and are looking for flexible working opportunities Rotherham FT is currently providing these opportunities through an exciting placement opportunity at Rotherham Hospital.The Trust is delighted to offer the opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated individual to join their Team. The post holder will work in an acute inpatient setting with older people and provide interventions and rehabilitation thatwill assist to prevent hospital admissions, accelerate discharges from hospital and prevent readmission.To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

  • HCPC Registration
  • Degree in Occupational therapy or equivalent
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Experience within an acute inpatient setting
  • Full driving licence
  • Experience of working with older people
Role Details:•To provide a specialist high standard Occupational Therapy service, including the supervision of support staff within areas of work and any other area as service development requires.•To manage a caseload of patients and maintain associated records•To clinically supervise and appraise students, junior and support staff•To contribute to the delivery of services to meet the trust objectives•To provide interventions in locations across the health community covered by The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, as required.•To help determine a diagnosis and prognosis through the application of clinical reasoning skills and specialist knowledge of physiological and pathological processes and syndromes.•To promote Independence, good health and wellbeing, empowering patients/clients to self-manage•To formulate/develop and undertake evidence-based plan taking into account the management options available.•Use highly developed specialist skills to deliver an individual programme of care. About the Trust:The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is a combined acute and community Trust providing services at Rotherham Hospital and across the borough to a population of 264,700 people. The 370+ bed Rotherham Hospital first opened in March 1978 withRotherham community services integrating with the Trust in 2011.
