Job Description

Are you a part qualified or qualified Accountant looking for a role in manufacturing but have no manufacturing experienceA large manufacturing company in Rotherham are looking for a Management Accountant.Reporting to an experienced and supportive Finance Manager this role comes with hybrid working, 27 days holiday+ stats and 10% pension.This is an excellent role for a part qualified/newly qualified Accountant looking to gain commercial exposure and enhance their skills and cv.This role has lead finance responsibility (P&L and Balance Sheet) for a business Unit. Providing quality financial and management information, this role will pro-actively support, challenge and influence local commercial and operational teams:

  • Production of monthly management accounts and supporting the KPI reporting process.
  • Development and update of standard costs in the ERP system.
  • Support operations with spend analysis and production variance analysis.
  • Assist in producing business cases for capital spend and other investment projects.
  • Assist with the regular forecasting process and the annual budget preparation.
  • Work with the commercial teams to provide margin analysis and support pricing decisions.
We are looking for candidates from the following background;
  • Qualified or part qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA/ACA) or qualified by experience.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to question and challenge current ideas and processes in a constructive way.
  • Driven and ambitious personality with a desire to make positive changes.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across the business with key stakeholders.
