Job Description

We are proud to be partnering with a market leading manufacturing business seeking a forward thinking and methodically minded Maintenance engineer with a 50/50 mix of both mechanical & electrical experience on a Temporary to Permanent Contract.The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for providing all of the maintenance to machinery ensuring that levels of production are not affected. The work will be a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance. Successful candidates will have either 17thEdition or higher, or a strong and proven electrical understanding as testing will be conducted at interview stage.Role: - MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEERDuration: - 12 Weeks Temporary to Permanent ContractShifts: - Monday to Friday - Rotating Shift Patterns (6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm & 10pm - 6am)Pay Rate:- £16.39 - £16.89 PH Dependent upon experience. Overtime is availableLocation:- RotherhamDuties will include:-

  • Conducting both electrical and mechanical repairs to breakdown of machinery and equipment.
  • Planning and prioritising workload to ensure production targets are reached.
  • Maintain job completion records through their cloud-based system, with an understanding of using tablets.
  • Working with a bespoke computer based maintenance program, carrying out maintenance / work requests in a timely manner and to our partners high standards.
  • Set up machinery when product changes are required ensuring that downtime is reduced and efficiencies are increased.
Skills required:-
  • A recognised engineering qualification or a minimum of 2 years work experience as a maintenance engineer within a production environment.
  • Experience of working within an Automated Production environment is advantageous.
  • Able to work on own initiative and with a small team depending on business needs.
  • Work under pressure and coordinate with management to ensure workflow demands are met.
  • Forward and methodical thinker.
  • Basic understanding of safety for themselves and others around them.
