Maintenance EngineerRotherhamc£45k + £250 per month site support allowance + generous benefitsOur client is part of as multi-billion-pound global organisation employing more than 70,000 staff in more than 100 countries and are recognised market leaders in their niche manufacturing sector. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programmeof strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and multi skilled Maintenance Engineer to complement their established and professional team based in the Brinsworth area of Rotherham.Working as part of a team of similarly multidisciplinary engineers, the successful maintenance engineer candidate will be tasked with undertaking electrical and mechanical planned preventative and reactive breakdown repairs on a range of plant and equipment,ensuring plant reliability and equipment availability as well as a safe place of work and a well-maintained environment are sustained. As a qualified engineer you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of various itemsof plant and equipment utilising your Mechanical and Electrical maintenance experience, conducting PPM in accordance with scheduled work orders whilst minimizing disruption to overall site operations, as well as diagnosing faults and reactively repairing plantand equipment in response to breakdowns as they may arise.Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team, you will also be responsible for assisting in the installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment where necessary, whilst monitoring and supervising contractors, apprentices and trainees asrequired, and will also undertake the sourcing and purchase of spare parts, equipment and workshop materials as appropriate.Whilst the position is a normal "days" role working Monday to Friday, you will on occasions be required to cover out-of-hours breakdown work or planned equipment overhaul duties on weekends, and this is the reason for the additional generoussite support allowance paid monthly. Other duties will include participating in a range of site and departmental activities when they may arise, including Risk Assessments, planned general Inspections, problem solving and Improvement Groups, and Monitoringand assisting trainee staff, in addition to:
