Job Description

My client are an international business who are looking to recruit a Logistics Coordinator within their Rotherham depot. The business has contracts with many blue chip corporations, and offers an outstanding progression opportunity to develop your career.Client DetailsMy client are an international business who are looking to recruit a Logistics Coordinator within their Rotherham depot. The business has contracts with many blue chip corporations, and offers an outstanding progression opportunity to develop your career.DescriptionThe successful Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

  • Work closely with our internal Account Manager for the customer and stock planning
  • Liaise with Clearing Agents for all import and export activities
  • Coordinate and organise vehicles transferring Finished Goods to External Storage
  • Ensure Customer Call offs are issued to the 3PL company correctly and delivered to the customer on time and in full
  • Create Invoices using excel, ensuring important data is correct every time
  • Generate Picking Lists and delivery notes using the ERP System
  • Delivery notes and Purchase order checking
  • Carry out monthly book to book stock takes for the customer, with a potential annual physical stock take
  • Ensure compliance with all existing systems, standards and procedures within all areas to satisfy both company and customer requirements
  • Organise Stock Transfer between internal and external warehouse facilities
  • Liaise with customers, hauliers, suppliers, and Customs Clearing Agents
  • Ensure clients are up to date and informed through out sales
  • Log Shipping Data
  • Assist with Reverse Logistics
  • Generate and prepare relevant shipping paperwork
  • Analyse haulier KPIs, and ensure SLAs are agreed to
  • Obtain quotations from hauliers
ProfileThe Successful Logistics Coordinator will be from a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background, and display the following:
  • Highly proficient in Excel - Essential
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Confident in liaising with a multitude of teams and levels within the business
  • Excellent planning, organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Numerically and methodically minded with a genuine enjoyment of excel and analysis
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A logical and analytical approach
  • Capable of managing own workload and confident in liaising at all levels within the business
