Learning Support AssistantsPart time; 15/20/25/30 Hours per week available37 weeks per year (term time plus 1 training week), Permanent, starting August 2022Salary; £18,278 per annum (1 FTE)Location; Rotherham College, RotherhamThe RoleWe are looking for Learning Support Assistants to work within our busy Additional Learning Support Team.In this rewarding role, you will provide in and out of class support to assist students with learning difficulties/disabilities to help them achieve their best possible outcomes.You will be a key part of the team, and will assist in the planning, preparation & assessment of learning, giving feedback to tutors and managers on learners. You will also be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students having dueregard to the Colleges Child & Vulnerable Adults Protection Policy.We could offer either 15, 20, 25 or 30 hours per week. Salaries pro rata as below:15 hours £5,957 per annum20 Hours £7,942 per annum25 Hours £9,928 per annum30 Hours £11,913 per annumIn your supporting statement, please confirm the number of hours that would be suitable.You willhave the personal skills and experience to be able to effectively support students, dealing with challenging behaviour when it arises, and helping them to develop their own coping strategies.You will need to hold or be working towards your Maths and English L2/C grade to be considered for this role and be willing to work towards an adult learner support or equivalent qualification. Department InfoIn this role you will work closely with members of the Additional Learning Support and Curriculum department teams.
