My client is a large industrial company with offices / facilities all over the world. They have a large plant in Brinsworth, which is where this role will be based. They currently require an IT Support Engineer - Windows / Microsoft to join their team.They need someone with broad experience around Servers, Networks and Desktops that is used to a Windows / Microsoft environment. You will ideally have previous experience of rolling out and updating cybersecurity technology as well. This role will specifically be focused on supporting the PCs / IT infrastructure in the plant / industrial environment, not the office / corporate environment. Due to the nature of these plants their IT infrastructure cannot be updated, or heavily accessed,remotely. In this IT Support Engineer- Windows / Microsoft role your duties will include:-In this role you will manage the information technology systems in their operating centre to achieve continuous improvement in the operational effectiveness and efficiency of all plants in the companies area of Automation related Information Technology.-This position supports the rollout of the improvements with new and re-installation of existing Automation IT Systems in the plant environment and in the Operation Centres and Data-Centres.IT Support Engineer - Windows / Microsoft - Skills and Experience: -Both broad and in-depth technological and IT expertise in the fields of network and Internet technology as well as common hardware, virtual machines and tools-IT network security concepts (identity, access and compliance management solutions) and knowledge of common IT security standards (ISO-27001/2, ISA / IEC-62443 and NIST 800-53/82)-Excellent knowledge in VMware ESXI architecture, Server Farms and Server Management-Deep knowledge in Microsoft Windows client and server operating systemsThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a large, highly profitable company, investing heavily in their IT infrastructure.
