Job Description

Join the housekeeping team at Kingswood House as a Housekeeper and maintain a clean and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society, as well as staff and visitors.Working 37.5 hours a week, including weekend shifts on a rota basis, you will be part of an environment which has a strong emphasis on teamwork with career opportunities that can see your career grow.You will be responsible for deep cleaning all areas of the service, including wards, office spaces, bedrooms and visitors area.Youll be working at Kingswood House, which is a brand-new Mental Health and Learning Disabilities & Autism service which provides care and support to people with highly complex needs and behaviours.Your responsibilitieswill include:

  • Carrying out Housekeeping Operations in line with Departmental Procedures
  • Using all chemical and machinery in line with Departmental Procedures, Health and Safety Regulations and Manufacturers Instructions.
  • Ensuring all Housekeeping tasks are achieved around the needs of the patients
  • All rooms and corridors under our responsibility must be cleaned, tidied and left ready for use
  • Health and Safety Training, Risk Assessments, COSHH Training, Safe Systems of Work, Best Value Rates, Monthly Housekeeping Audits
  • Maintaining cleanliness in visitor and training areas as required
  • Providing a friendly, co-operative service
