A Local Authority based in South Yorkshire is looking for a Project Manager to join their Parkway Widening team. This is a full time, temporary position and the successful candidate will hold a Diploma/NVQ/Degree in civil engineering, a membership of ICE, IHE, CIHT, TPS and ideally extensive experience in a similar role.The post holder will act as NEC Engineering and Construction Contract Project Manager for a highway scheme valued at £40m that includes new and amended pavements, highway structures, earthworks, drainage, lighting and street furniture. The postholder will have extensive experience of major highway site works and experience of the above conditions of contract including all aspects of time and programmes, payments and compensation events, risk management, quality, safety and contract administration. The post will involve supervising other staff that form the Councils site supervision team, including a contract Supervisor, liaison with Council officers, outside bodies and stakeholders. The Parkway widening scheme is a design and build contract.Qualifications and experience: Diploma/NVQ/Degree in civil engineering.Project Management eg. APM PMQ or PPQ , Prince2 Practitioner.Membership of ICE, IHE, CIHT, TPS Membership of Association of Project Management or Project Management InstituteThe client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering between £40 - £45 p/hour Umbrella Ltd (approx. £900 - £1000 p/week NET after deductions) dependant on experience and qualifications.
