Join a well-established producer of speciality metals and materials as a Health and Safety Officer.THE ROLE:- Working in an engineering environment, you will ensure the company complies with health, safety and environmental legislation.- Responsible for implementing, monitoring and improving all business processes, policies and practice related to Health, Safety and Environmental compliance, promoting a high level of awareness and compliance in all aspects of health, safety and environmentalmanagement- Proactively identify HSE improvement opportunities/recommendations and implement new, systems policies and procedures as required- Accident and incident investigations and reporting of any accidents or incidents to the HSE (in line with procedures) - Contractor control systems including Permit to Work and Tag Out Lock Out systems - Site assessments and internal auditing - Co-ordinate, conduct, train and assist others with site risk assessments- Participate in all activities in relation to the achievement and maintenance of ISO and any other industry related standardsKEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:- Previous experience in health and safety in a manufacturing or metals environment.- NEBOSH General Certificate or willing to work towards- Tech IOSH/Grad IOS qualified or working towards (desirable)- Knowledge of ISO standards - Knowledge and a proven history of delivery of health, safety and environmental management systems and the provision of adviceSALARY & BENEFITS:- £38,000- 25 days holiday + public holidays- Holiday Buy Scheme and Flexible Bank Holidays- Healthcare Scheme- Onsite Gym- Cycle to Work Scheme- Pension- Free on-site car parking- Recruitment Referral Bonus SchemeThe company are based in the industrial district in Rotherham, close to Meadowhall Shopping Centre.
