Job Description

Carlton Forest Group is an entrepreneurial group of companies headquartered in Hellaby, Rotherham. They are a renowned 3PL provider that operates across the UK and Ireland. They also have a rapidly growing renewable energy business. The business has a greathistory, superb people and very high ambitions for growth.Due to continued growth and success this is a newly created role of Group Management Accountant, supervising a team of 5, supporting the Financial Controller to run the daily activities of the finance team.The finance team have a positive outlook and are driven to make changes and improvements. The Senior Leadership team are also supportive and welcomingThe Group Management Accountant oversees all transaction processing, leads daily cashflow and working capital management and controls the reporting procedures across the group.

  • Monthly management of all balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly management information
  • Forecasting & budgeting, including variance analysis
  • Preparation of all KPI reports
  • Management, supervision and training of the central finance team
  • Maintenance of the cashflow forecast & all banking applications
  • Developing relationships with external contacts such as auditors and HM Revenue & Customs
What are we looking for;
  • Qualified Accountant with previous staff management experience
  • Experience of Sage is preferred
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills
  • An ability to explain complex financial information in a clear way
  • The ability to manage effectively through leadership and communication
