Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a global manufacturing business as they look to bring in a Group Accountant to be based at their site in Rotherham. This role would particularly suit a first time mover from practice, althoughcandidates with strong financial accounting experience from industry will also definitely be considered. The purpose of the role is to proactively work with the UK and overseas finance teams to prepare timely consolidated management accounts, statutory accounts and annual budgets. Analyse financial accounts to provide effective reports to the board to assist inkey decisions.Duties and responsibilities will include:* Preparation of the of the Group and holding company accounts* Month end reporting* Annual Budgeting* Year-end statutory accounts* Variance analysis* Liaise with external auditors as required* Oversee the central treasury function* Assess the impact of new/changes in accounting standards on the Group* Assist in digitalising and streamlining the month end process* Assist in improving the control environment of the GroupThe successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:* Previous consolidation experience would be ideal * Financial reporting experience * ACCA or ACA qualified * ERP systems experience * Advanced Excel skills* Assertive and proactive character * Ability to prioritise work * Ability to influence others at all levels within the organisation The firm offer good benefits, excellent opportunities for career progression and are an employer of choice in this region.
