Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Gas Engine Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join the team.Location: RotherhamSalary: £40-£50k Per annumAbout Us: Our client is a highly respected and successful company. Working with some of the both the public and private sector, they provide power generation solutions from emergency power and CHP (Combined Heat & Power) to complex diesel, gas and solar installations.They are currently experiencing a period of sustained growth which reflects the changes made to our business strategy and plans for the future, which means they have a great career opportunity for an experienced Gas Engine Installation & Commissioning Engineerjoin their elite team, working at our HQ and sites around the UK.Gas Engine Installation & Commissioning Engineer - Benefits:Our clients remuneration packages reflect the value they place on their people and the quality of candidate they are looking for:- Salary: £40-£50k Per annum- Holiday: 25 days PLUS statutory (33 in total)- Pension: 5% matched contribution- Company van- Laptop & phone- Onsite parking- PPE & corporate workwear- Occupational health managementGas Engine Installation & Commissioning EngineerKey Responsibilities:- Installation and commissioning of electrical systems including cable containment, power and control cables- Electrical Testing- Modification of existing power generation systems- Fault diagnosis and rectification on generator control systems- Making parts / material lists- Installation of new hardware, including power and control cabling- System testing- Liaison with customers and other stakeholders- Adhering to H&S requirements and supporting colleagues in that regardGas Engine Installation & Commissioning Engineer - You:- Experienced Genset engineer- Familiar with all aspects of diesel generators- Knowledge of gas generators an advantage- Be familiar with the principles of emergency generator operation & synchronisation, including knowledge of G59 and G99- Hold a valid CSCS or ECS Card- 8th Edition and City & Guilds 2391 qualification is desirable- IPAF, PASMA would be an advantage- Hold a full valid driving licence- Familiar with Control System wiring, final terminations would be preferred- LV & HV preferredWe are looking for someone who is self-motivated and can use their initiative. The ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues is essential, as is a willingness to get fully involved in installation work.
