Job Description

We are urgently seeking an experienced and skilled Engineering Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a range of small and medium schemes that form the basis of various work programmes within the Transportation Infrastructure Service Group for one of our local government clients based in Rotherham.The Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for projects being delivered both internally with in house resources and externally using established framework providers. They will ensure schemes and programmes are delivered to time and budget and to a high quality and in line with all current standards and legislation.They will liaise with internal departments, external delivery partners delivering design and construction services, agents, developers and other outside bodies and give direction and recommendations as appropriate.Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • ESSENTIAL is a Diploma/NVQ/Degree in civil engineering or planning
  • Preferable memberships include: Membership of ICE, IHE, CIHT
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering civil engineering projects preferably within local government
  • Experience of providing effective safety and performance management with the coordination of resources, within a Highway Design team, including the planning and allocation work and training.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing, monitoring and controlling scheme and works order budgets.
