Qualifications required: Diploma/NVQ/Degree civil engineering or planning Memberships: Membership of ICE, IHE, CIHT (desirable)Engineering Project Manager1. Oversee the delivery of a range of small and medium schemes that form the basis of various work programmes within the Transportation Infrastructure Service Group being delivered both internally with in house resources and externally using established framework providers. Ensure schemes and programmes are delivered to time and budget and to a high quality and in line with all current standards and legislation.2. Provide advice and produce reports for Council representatives and others.3. Manage and supervise other technical staff within the in house team ensuring that work delivery packages are prepared and delivered on site to a high standard.4. Liaise with other Council departments, external delivery partners delivering design and construction services, agents, developers and other outside bodies and give direction and recommendations as appropriate and ensure co-ordination of activities.5. Provide effective safety and performance management, and the coordination of resources, within the Highway Design team, including the planning and allocation work and training.6. Manage, monitor and control scheme and works order budgets.
