Job Description

Applied Power Engineering are a highly respected and successful company. Working with some of the both the public and private sector, we provide power generation solutions from emergency power and CHP (Combined Heat & Power) to complexdiesel, gas and solar installations.We are currently experiencing a period of sustained growth which reflects the changes made to our business strategy and plans for the future, which means we have a great career opportunity for an experienced Electrical Installation Site Supervisor join our elite team, working at our HQ and sites around the UK.Our remuneration packages reflect the value we place on our people and the quality of candidate we are looking for:Salary £45-£55k Per annumHoliday 25 days PLUS statutory (33 in total)Pension 5% matched contributionPLUS Company van Laptop & phone Onsite parking PPE & corporate workwearOccupational health managementYour role: Electrical Installation Site Supervisor

  • Representing the business as a working Supervisor, providing support to the project manager along with the APE interface with the client’s team
  • Assisting the Project Manager with site reviews and pre-installation meetings.
  • Leading site Engineers on small to large projects.
  • Acting as the point of contact for customers to resolve any local issues to successfully deliver projects.
  • Reacting to varying project / site conditions
  • Assessing and liaising with the Project Manager when making decisions to solve problems and identifying changes in the scope of work.
  • Assist in the development and implementation work practices and procedure.
  • Training and developing installation personnel.
  • Maintaining project related records, documentation, and status reports
Electrical Installation Site Supervisor – you:
  • Experience working as commercial install electrician, power generation advantage.
  • Apprentice trained an advantage
  • Highly experienced in power generation solutions, Application knowledge essential.
  • Knowledge of ComAp product range preferable but not essential.
  • Mechanically adept with excellent electrical installation technical abilities
  • Proficient with tools and equipment
  • Excellent material handling and logistic skills
  • Strong planning, organizational and decision-making capabilities
  • Leadership, communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong work ethic; punctual and self-motivated
  • Willing to work irregular hours and extended shifts if needed, based on UK sites
  • CSCS / ECS card holder.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and can use their initiative. The ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues is essential, as is a willingness to get fully involved in installation work. You will need to be able towork under pressure and to be flexible and able to adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
