This permanent role is based in the UK but willbe pivotal to ensure timely, cost effective and accurate delivery of our courseware to customers across China, Hong Kong and South East Asia regions.The role will be based from home with option to be based in Hellaby. Team will meet every 1-2 months in one of the offices based in Hellaby, Oxford, Central London or the distribution centre in Birmingham.Main Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a monthly Demand Review meeting with key stake holders to incorporate relevant market intelligence into the demand plan
  • Develop accurate forecasting (supported also by Analytics team) through collating insights from local regional sales teams
  • Implement proven demand forecasting methodology to create baseline forecast.
  • Enrich baseline forecast through challenge and validation of market intelligence received to increase accuracy of the demand plan
  • Agree enrichment to the forecast including cannibalization with Sales and Marketing and update Forecast Analyst.
  • Facilitate the Demand Review Meeting to achieve sign off on the Consensus Demand Plan
  • Responsible for collecting all pre-read documentation for the meeting, defining the meeting agenda and distributing them to all meeting participants
  • Coordinate with Forecast Analyst to ensure update to Forecast Accuracy and Forecast Bias metrics
  • Review alert report from Forecast Analysis, create list of discussion points for DRM.
  • Assist demand planning manager in the monthly Demand Review Meeting and S&OP meetings to drive consensus among cross-functional partners such as Sales, Finance, Planning and Production to one consolidated plan balancing demand and supply.
  • Intercompany PO placement / follow ups
  • Planning parameters maintenanceEnsure correct parameters such as production lead time, transportation lead time, target service level, target stock coverage are maintained into our planning systems.
About You
  • Experience in forecasting and/or Demand Planning within retail finished goods
  • Understanding of demand planning and supply planning process and methodologies.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data with intermediate excel skills.
  • Proficiency in statistics/forecasting with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
  • Used your analytical, communication and presentation skills to analyse large amounts of data to identify key trends/insights and summarise findings to key stakeholders.
Desirable (but not essential)
  • Bachelors Degree level and / or Supply Chain Professional qualification
  • Familiarity with the print publishing business
  • Forecasting and/or demand planning experience in a publishing or retail environment
  • Either Planning or Sales experience within SE Asia Market
