Job Description

Are you an experienced Cost Accountant with experience in a manufacturing / engineering environment Do you have the ability to research, compile, analyse multiple sources of data Do you have experience monitoring inventory / stock...If so, contact Ashley Kate Finance to discuss today!Reporting to the Finance Director and working closely with the Management Accountant, you will be joining at an exciting time for the business. This will be a great opportunity for you to stamp your own authority across all company overheads and costs acrossthe busy factory. Duties include:

  • Lead the cost accounting and cost analysis efforts, including inventory reconciliation, job cost reviews (and updates), analysis of manufacturing variances and recommendations on inventory reserves
  • Responsible for analysing material, labour, subcon and overhead costs for the products manufactured.
  • Generate accurate weekly, monthly, and adhoc financial reports to provide visibility into and analysis of our expected (budgeted) and actual costs of goods sold and inventory levels
  • Perform periodic cost reviews and analysis to recommend and implement changes in cost estimating models (emphasis on job costings)
  • Own and improve the costing models and revamp to latest cost structures post MBO (reflecting cost ownership, usage and absorption principles moving forward)
We are looking to speak with accountants who are either qualified, or qualified by experience, with extensive experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment. This role is perfect for an analytical accountant who can provide cost analysis whilst accuratelyaccounting for inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) in a manufacturing company.
