Job Description

Compliance OfficerFull time (37hrs per week, all year round)Temporary until May 2022 (Maternity cover)Salary; £19,011 per annumLocation; Dearne Valley College, RotherhamAre you ready to take your next step in your careerThe Compliance Officer role is a key part of our Management Information Services team, dealing with the compliance and funding of college data.In this critical role you will work as part of the Compliance, Funding and Enrolments team and contribute to the effective delivery of a high-quality data compliance service. It will include robust desk-based review of documentation throughout the academic year, working closely with academic and support staff to ensure that an accurate and responsive service is provided.Your main duties will include;• Assist the Compliance, Funding and Enrolments Manager in providing clean and accurate college data to ensure the financial stability of the college.• Be conversant with ESFA funding rules and data collection requirements; and keep informed on any changes affecting college funding and data operations.• Provide assurance of accurate data through internal audit systems and processes.• To review all enrolment documentation to be recorded and liaise with teams to ensure the data is processed accurately and timely.• To review the Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) to ensure the information is correct and matches Pro-Solution.• To review achievement claims, including Apprenticeship ACE claims, to ensure the data is recorded accurately and timely.Your work will ultimately lead to increased funding and data accuracy, which supports the financial stability of the College, plus the positive development of the College reputation.If you are looking for an opportunity in which you can develop your career in funding and compliance, then this could be the perfect role as you will develop these skills, whilst working in a College that has been recognised by OFSTED as investing in staff development.Have you got what it takes to be successfulYou will have recent experience in a compliance or audit role, ideally within an FE college. A good attention to detail, ensuring and maintaining accurate data records, and working knowledge and understanding of systems such as OneFile or DAS. You will possess a level 2 English and Maths, Level 2 ICT and a level 3 business administration or other relevant qualifications to be successful in the role.
