Job Description

An exciting new opportunity as an Assessment and Recruitment Officer has become available with a specialist care provider who provide community care services to adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and associated mental health conditions.The Assessment and Recruitment Officer role would be based from the office with some travel in the homes of the clients they support. This role does not involve line management of staff or on call responsibilities.The complex conditions of their clients are varied, such as Airway Management, Tracheostomy, Vent, PEG, Cerebral Palsy, Communication Devises, Autism, Brain Injury, and Spinal Injury.Salary: £20,000 - £24,000 depending on experienceThis role is 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday. (No on call)Key Responsibilities of Assessment and Recruitment Officer:

  • Must have exceptional skills in writing detailed assessments and client care plans
  • Participate in client assessments for existing or new clients, undertake and advise in relation to risk assessments relevant to each client and their individual situation.
  • The other part of the role involves admin and recruitment responsibilities, such as building staff files, the on boarding process for new staff, carrying out DBS and reference checks, outlining training plan to new staff and keeping websites and jobs boards updated
  • Due to the nature of this post being out on the field some of the time, a full UK driving license is essential. (The role is mostly office based however.)
  • The Ideal Candidate:
  • Has previous experience and expertise in supporting individuals with complex health needs with at least one of the following conditions; Tracheostomy, ABI, Spinal Injuries, Challenging Behaviours, Ventilators, PEG, Communication Devices. (not essential)
  • A qualification in Health and Social Care – desirable but not essential
  • Has the desire and positive attitude to learn. Training will be provided throughout employment
