Job Description

Group Finance ManagerBased: Blackburn office (home based, 1-2 days in the office in future)Salary: up to £55k dependent on experience. Good benefits and opportunities in a growing business. Flexible working hoursOur client a leading, global services business based in Lancashire. They have been established for over 40 years, now operating through 4 global regions and continue to grow rapidly. A new role for Senior Group Accountant has been created to support theRegional Finance Managers and head office team. This role will assist on internal projects, manage group finance duties and lead a team - developing 2 training Accountants and 4 junior accounts staff.Role:

  • Managing a team of 6 staff - part qualified Accountants and junior finance
  • Assisting Regional Finance Managers with all aspects of finance including delivery of monthly management accounts in line with monthly reporting timetable
  • Delivering monthly group management accounts including complex multi-department reporting and analysis - liaising with Management Accountants for regional information
  • Preparing group consolidation and board report for the CFO
  • Assisting with year end processes (VAT returns, annual accounts) and audit queries across UK and oversees regions
  • Producing weekly cashflow forecast, submitting to the CFO
  • Reviewing balance sheet reconciliation, approving payments and signed off group payrolls
  • Assisting with UK subsidiary accounts when required
  • Project work across finance - wide range of duties to assist with including continuous improvements across the department
  • Helping test and implement new finance system across the business (Dynamics 365)
  • Ad hoc support to the Regional Finance Managers and CFO as requested
Experience:
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified Accountant with strong experience
  • Staff management experience is essential
  • Experience producing group accounts essential
  • Cash flow forecasting experience essential
  • Change orientated, able to use initiative to drive continuous improvement
