Our service is a business partner to multiple service areas in the local authority and health community that support some of the most vulnerable people in the Borough.---------------------------------------------------About the JobThis is an exciting opportunity to join the Policy and Performance Service as a Senior Public Health Analyst sitting with the public health team to support the Public Health Service and local health economy. We are looking for a committed person who can bring confidence and ability to this role within a team that offers excellent prospects for the right candidate. In this position, you will support the Principal Public Health Specialist (Population Health and Public Health Intelligence) in providing leadership and strategic direction for the population health intelligence function in Havering.Working with colleagues in the public health team, you will also support a wide spectrum of public health work (including health needs assessment, health impact assessment, equity audits and service evaluations and contributing to the Council’s Covid-19 response).---------------------------------------------------About YouThis will be a very demanding yet enjoyable role and you must have training in epidemiology, medical statistics or similar to master’s degree level or equivalent. You must be able to demonstrate at least three years’ experience of working in public health intelligence or a similar function. You will have extensive experience of producing reports regarding complex quantitative information, to a variety of professional and lay audiences, with experience of research/evaluation approaches.
