Your role will be to play a key part of the engineering team in delivering high quality design projectson time and within budget.Qualifications:Ideally, youll be MEng/BEng qualified and a Chartered Civil Engineer.Key Areas of Technical Expertise:The ability to complete desktop feasibility studies for all types of utility infrastructure and sewerage schemes, including technical, financial, legal and construction considerations. The ability to understand residential flooding and means of mitigation.To undertake drainage and Sewerage design from first principles (Modified Rational method) to large scale sewer network modelling. Detailed design of pumping stations and the ability to produce detailed technical specifications to suit specific projects.To select appropriate forms of construction contract by assessing financial risks/advantages. Preparing construction contracts including activity schedules, bills of quantity, selection of tenderers, managing the tender process and award.Construction Management. - The ability to administer construction contracts as the Project Manager/Employers Representative and to be able to undertake the work/oversee the construction supervisor.Key Areas of Management Expertise:The ability to manage a team of Project Engineers and Technicians in their technical output.Face to face meetings with CEO level/Director level client staff, preparation of promotional literature and detailed fee proposals. Managing term contracts, client expectations, change management, preparing workload programmes and balancing resources todeliver on time.Health and Safety. The ability to manage company health and safety including the reparation of RAMS, design risk assessments, high level company health and safety statements and manuals.
