Job Description

I am currently working with my client Barking and Dagenham College to recruitfor a confident, self motivated individual able to work independently who can take full responsibility for the Credit Control function whilst also supervising the Sales Ledger Team within the Finance Department.Highly organised and numerate you will also need to have 2 years Sales Ledger/Credit Control experience and be highly customer focused. Your specific duties will also include:

  • Supervision of the Sales Ledger Teamand prioritise their work load in a high volume environment
  • Managing the Credit Control function and provide effective debt collection
  • Handling customer queries
  • Reporting on aged debt and payment trends and issues affecting debt collection to the Director of Finance & Estates
    • You will have proven all round experience of sales ledger and credit control activities.A good working knowledge of Excel and Word is essential.Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal and the ability to work under pressure and to work to tight time scales and targets are also required.The client uses EFinancials accountancy package so experience in this would be really helpful but not essential.This role requires excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with both internal and external customers and the ability to see queries from other people
