Reed are currently seeking a Customs Clerk to joint the team of a brand new department based in Crosby. This is a fantastic opportunity for long term employment but also progression within this ever growing business.This position would suit either a Junior level Customs Clerk with some experience (as there is training provided) or an experienced Customs Clerk, as salary is dependant on experience.Responsibilities:Learn how to operate duty Management Computer SystemsAssist with day to day management of duty management accounts ensuring they are operated according to their authorisation and specific SOPAssist with Customs warehouse removals, ensuring they are processed accordingly, within a compliant time frame and stock records are kept up to dateOngoing liaison with HMRC/ Clients/ SuppliersLearn basic Customs Import formalities and procedures using CFSP (Customs Freight Simplified Procedures)Keeping up to date with changes in customs procedures and regulationsSkills/ Qualifications:Attention to DetailOrganisation SkillsIT Literate-Use of ExcelGood communication skills both written and verbalExperience using the trade tariffMinimum 5 GCSEs grade C or above, including English and Mathematics
