Job Description

Real Estate AnalystRochester£38,700 - £48,060Hyde is one of the UKs largest housing providers, working across London, the South East, East Anglia and the East Midlands. We are positioned well, as the lead in a range of strategic partnerships across London and the South East, and we have recently been recognised as Homebuilder of the Year at the UK Housing Awards.We are looking to recruit a Real Estate Analyst who will modernise our approach and assist the Land & Planning Team Kent, with scheme appraisal work and play a key liaison role between Finance and the Development function at Hyde.Responsibilities:

  • Assist with board paper submissions for development schemes brought forward by the Land Director / Associate Land Director and in time would seek to source their own sites, with the view to negotiating the land contracts, obtaining planning permission and procuring a build contract in line with departmental KPIs / targets.
  • Populating investment appraisals (interpreting site details and development proformas)
  • Build, utilize and improve highly-customized financial models to analyze real estate scenarios / occupancy alternatives
  • Support Hydes real estate strategy by providing customized, analysis to aid decision making
  • Bring innovation, enhancement and simplification to existing analytical tools and / or processes
  • In collaboration with the Land + Planning manager, provide recommendations based on robust options analysis
  • Deliver client-facing presentations of financial models, etc.
  • Review of lease documents for inputs in financial models
  • Portfolio planning and analysis
  • Transaction reporting including revenue tracking, KPI reporting etc
  • Bring innovation, enhancement and simplification to existing analytical tools and / or processes
  • Undertaking accurate and thorough research into local market evidence in support of investment appraisals
  • Contacting local agents, new build sales teams, and using databases to find comparable evidence of recent sales and lettings to speedily allow knowledge of local market dynamics;
  • Liaising with other departments within the company to source accurate detail for specific inputs for investment appraisals
  • Assisting senior members of the team with collating appraisals and bid packs for investment committee
