Job Description

We know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment in small andbig ways, and contribute towards our inclusive culture.Apprenticeship programmeDuring this 36 month programme, we will help you to develop your practical skills and knowledge required for you to succeed in this role as well as your future career. Throughout this programme, you will continue to develop your behaviours such as team working,problem-solving and customer focus. Veolia as a business is not only interested in what you accomplish, but the manner you do it.As well as gaining a broad range of technical and professional knowledge and experience, youll also gain academic and vocational qualifications such as a Certificate in HGV Maintenance, NVQ (Competency) in Maintenance & Working Safely (H&S) Certificate.You will also attend our Fleet Academy in Bristol whilst undertaking this apprenticeship programme on a block basis.What will you be doing

  • Carry out inspections and maintenance on a variety of HGV vehicles, mainly on refuse collection vehicles to DVSA standards
  • Servicing of vehicles as per OEM recommendations
  • Carry out diagnostics on a variety of systems on a vehicle to correctly diagnose faults before repair
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and complies legally
What are we looking for
  • A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade 4 (C or equivalent) or above/predicted to include Maths & English
  • Full UK driving licence (Desirable)
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • A passion for contemporary environmental issues
  • A technical mindset and flexible approach
  • The ability to work as a part of the team
