Marks Sattin are delighted to be working with a leading retail company, who are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team.Description

Overall responsibility for the accuracy and control of the accounts systems and procedures.
Management of month end procedures and preparation of reports for Board approval
Management of monthly accounts and commercial review
Courteous and authoritative credit control
Assessment of subcontractor and client financial stability
Weekly report to Board and senior commercial team of progress against forecasts regarding project financials
Attend Monthly Management Meetings and prepare information for same
Accurate production of salaries and staff allocations, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection at all times
Ensuring compliance with taxation obligations, including VAT, CIS and Corporation Tax
Manage the relationship between software databases
Credit Agencies- Liaise with and monitor ratings with agencies for sub contractor and client review and bond position with bond providers
Monthly balance sheet, WIP, ETB, Retention reconciliations
Maintain Fixed Asset schedules, advising on best practice for depreciation, capital allowances and other tax implications
Continuous management of cashflow including rolling 13 week, annual, and project related cashflows
Management of working capital and maximisation of liquidity at all times
Employment of a strong Treasury strategy where possible
Liaison and management of relationships with bank and other statutory authorities
Management of annual audit

Profile

Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role and/or an accountancy qualification
Attention to detail and accuracy
Methodical approach to duties
Must have industry experience (Construction)
