Job Description

Job Title: Finance Assistant (Inventory Accounting)Location: Rochester - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.Salary: Circa £30,000 DOEWhat youll be doing:

  • Engaging and collaborating with key Business Area Finance leads in completing Inventory financial forecasts in support of operating plans (annual budget), quarterly business reviews, 5-year integrated business plans and challenging key assumptions to establishrobust forecasts
  • Providing support to and challenge budget holders to help deliver on their financial commitments by tracking performance and providing insightful commentary to facilitate decision-making
  • Developing and maintaining a solid understanding of the business risks/opportunities
  • Providing accurate Inventory management information on a timely basis
Your skills and experiences: Essentials:
  • Prior experience within Cost Base Accounting particularly around Inventory Control
  • Experience of working to tight timescales and consistently meeting deadlines
  • Good attention to detail and ability to swiftly analyse numerical data
  • Strong Excel skills
Desirable:
  • Commenced or obtained CIMA qualification
  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP systems (or equivalent) and Hyperion
