Job Description

Job Title: Engineering Stores EnvoyLocation: Middleton, ManchesterSalary: Up to £22,500My Client is the market leader in the provision of Integrated Stores and Supply Chain Management Solutions for Blue Chip Companies in the UK and Europe - their clients include automotive manufacturers, to leading pharmaceutical manufactures, to global food manufacturers.Due to the expansion and growth of my client an opportunity has arisen for a Stores Envoy to work on site at one of their clients unit, located in Middleton, Manchester.Responsibilities include:

  • To receive deliveries of engineering parts and put stock away in pre-determined storage locations, keeping accurate records.
  • To issue stock products as required by Engineers.
  • To assist customers in the selection of goods, advising where applicable alternatives that reduce overall cost
  • To initiate and conclude all customer / vendor returns in approved manners
  • To conduct rotational stock checks and record locations for new products/stock adjustments
  • To consistently deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a professional and courteous relationship with the Client
  • To issue stock products to the Client
  • To source and make available supplier catalogues and product reference material for the Client
  • To confirm customer deliveries in a timely manner
  • To ensure approved documentation is accurately completed and authorised where necessary
  • To maintain a high level of housekeeping in line with Company standards
    • Skills required
  • Experience of Stock Management Processes within a Stores environment.
  • Previous experience in a commercial, distribution, industrial or engineering environment
  • SAP or similar ERP system
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A good level of IT skills
  • A willingness to learn and develop
  • A good team player with the ability to respond efficiently and effectively to the needs of the Client
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
    • Working hours 8am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday Required skills
