Job Description

Due to continued growth and expansion, our client is currently looking for an experienced, skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join the team and become part of their industry leading company!About the Role – Sheet Metal Worker:

  • The successful candidate will work with bending, forming, finishing departments in the creation of bespoke fabrications from laser cut stainless steel and exotic metals, in accordance with internal specifications and customer order requirements
  • The successful candidate should have a good understanding of pattern development, the geometry of sheet metal and be capable of hand finishing to a high standard but above all you must be an exceptional fabricator.
    • The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the following duties:
  • Forming, bending and rolling in various gauges ranging from 0.5mm to 12mm.
  • Ensuring that the parts you fabricate reflect the customer drawing and are created to a high standard, first time every time.
  • Maintain a tidy and organised working area
    • Required Skills/Experience:
  • You must be experienced in sheet metal processes including fabrication and sheet metal assemblies combining fabricated and machined components
  • Ideally you will be apprentice trained (C&G/Btech) but applications will be accepted from all levels of qualification
  • You must be highly competent in general Sheet Metal duties including deburring, drilling and tack welding and be fully conversant with engineering drawings/types of angle projection etc
  • Experience of working within an ISO9001 quality system would be a distinct advantage
  • TIG and MIG welding experience would also be beneficial although this is not essential as for this role the bias is towards TIG tacking and fabrication capabilities.
