Job Description

Quality EngineerHours of work:Monday to Friday, 40 hours per weekSalary:£30,000 to £35,000Role: Monitor and enforce Business Quality Standards through reporting and investigation work, flagging issues through the appropriate escalation channelsTasks:

  • Provide Quality Control Support to Manufacturing Areas through:
    • Site Audits
    • QMS audit (site specific)
    • Daily Patrol to check / inspect production on all production lines
    • Incoming Goods/Material Inspection and Release
    • Collect/test/dispatch samples
    • Organise and conduct Traceability exercises
    • Assist in the development of Quality Control Procedures for new products and production lines and as improvement to existing lines
    • Maintain calibration log and calibration of equipment
  • Facilitate and assist in Root Cause Analysis of issues discovered through:
    • Attend site new production meetings
    • Attend daily site meetings as part of reporting management system
    • Investigation and flagging through the Non Conformance System form and procedure
    • Oversight and monitoring of remedial work and action points implemented as a proactive/reactive response to quality/scrap issues
  • Maintain the QMS registered documentation required on site by:
    • Document Control (review & amend)
    • Check NP, PP, PV, AA Docs
    • Create/amend packing specs
    • Creation of master labels for docs.
    • Delisting of products
  • Cover for other Quality Assistants (holiday/absence/etc.)
Competencies:
  • Internal Auditor / Audit training
  • Root Cause Analysis, critical thinking
  • Computer Systems: SAP, Bartender
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and test procedures relating to goods inwards inspection
