Job Description

QHSE Engineer/ManagerPermanent roleRochdaleSalary Range :£35,000 to £41,000 salariedOther Benefits :Pension , Flexitime within core working hoursQuality & HSE professional required for growing specialist sheet metal fabricator located in Rochdale. The individual will be required to assist with implementation of ISO9001, ISO3834, ISO45001 and ISO18001.Responsibilities :

  • Must be NEBOSH qualified and hands on experience of implementation of quality & HSE procedures and systems.
  • Assisting with implementation of ISO systems to support the QHSE function.
  • Maintenance of Material Certificates, CofC’s and related customer documentation.
  • Supervision of inspection function and liaison with shop floor teams.
  • Interface with customers and quality representatives to resolve NCR’s, 8D’s and other corrective actions to improve quality performance.
  • Build internal audit function and derive Quality Improvement Planning.
    • Requirements :
  • Formal engineering qualification in mechanical, fabrication or related disciplines including ideally an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • Successful prior experience in a QHSE role involving specialist engineered sheet metal products into high value capital equipment in relevant market sectors.
  • Confident & articulate manner able to interact easily with production colleagues and give confidence of technical proficiency in the role and also on behalf of the Company.
  • Motivated self-starter with good personal management habits to balance multiple production priorities.
  • IT Literate in Microsoft Office packages, email and related job specific software packages.
