Job Description

Multi-Skilled Service EngineerLocation: Rochdale with National & Worldwide Travel Salary up to £32,000 D.O.E (OTE £45,000 - £50,0000p/a inc. overtime and enhancements)Hours: Monday to Friday, 1pm finish on a FridayWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Multi-Skilled Service Engineer. This opportunity is for our well established and commercially successful client providing bespoke products in a highly lucrative but specialised market.Multi Skilled Engineer Role:This specialised Engineer role involves the servicing, maintenance, repairing and commissioning of our clients sophisticated products whenever required. Although the majority of the work will be UK based and usually at the main site in Rochdale it will involvetravel, some of which will be Worldwide, circa 100 nights per year. All expenses will be paid, including a shift allowance along with access to a company vehicle when you are travelling across the UK.Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning plant and equipment both at the Rochdale workshop and on-site with clients
  • Programming PLCs/HMIs
  • Servicing, overhauling and fault-finding on plant and equipment
  • Carry out Operator training with respect to operation/maintenance/fault finding
  • Process and functional testing of both new and existing equipment
  • Installation of new equipment on-site (assuming a lead role on-site)
  • Carrying out pre-site risk assessments and post-site work
  • Reporting for routine site visits
  • Handling technical and operational questions from both internal and external sources
  • Writing O & M Manuals
  • Assist with all aspects of the manufacture of new equipment.
  • Preparation of project specific documentation
  • Liaising with Project Team, clients, supply chain and other stakeholders as required
  • Assist with specifying and design of electrical/control systems
  • Electrical installation
