Job Description

A dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is required to maintain and repair equipment, primarily within the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) sector. The role calls for a proactive individual who can ensure all machinery is running at optimal performance,primarily over the weekend shift.Client DetailsOur client is a leading player in the FMCG sector. Based in Middleton, they are a large-scale operation with a significant workforce. Renowned for their commitment to quality and innovation, they are continually striving to improve their products and processes.They are looking to add a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to cover the weekend shift.Description

  • Ensuring machinery is running at optimal performance.
  • Performing routine mechanical maintenance and repairs.
  • Diagnosing and rectifying faults within the production machinery.
  • Adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Communicating effectively with the wider engineering team.
  • Documenting all maintenance work for future reference.
  • Assisting in the training and development of junior staff where necessary.
ProfileA successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer should have:
  • A solid background in mechanical maintenance within the FMCG industry.
  • An ability to diagnose and rectify faults within production machinery.
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to work effectively as part of a team.
