Job Description

Inventory ControllerPermanent £35,000 - £40,000 Rochdale Office based.8am - 5:30pmOffice Angels are currently recruiting for an Inventory Controller for a well-established business based in Rochdale. This role is a permanent opportunity for someone with similar experience. The working hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 5:30pm.Duties will include:

  • Maintain sufficient and correct stock holding.
  • Work with suppliers to identify and overcome potential supply chain issues.
  • Identify and bring to market new products to enhance the current businesss portfolio.
  • Feed products and promotions via existing and new supply chains, through the sales team.
  • Manage supplier commercial terms, including negotiating terms, settlement discounts, rebate agreements and cost savings to ensure a competitive edge in the marketplace.
  • Identify and negotiate bulk buying deals.
  • Maintain accurate delivery date status on the goods in and sales system.
  • Eradicate aged stock.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events.
  • Build and maintain strong relations with existing and new suppliers.
We are looking for candidates with:
  • Experience in purchasing/ inventory department.
  • Proven track record, experience with negotiating supplier deals.
  • Ability to bring product to market.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Be able to use initiative and common sense to complete tasks in timely manner.
  • Driven work ethic.
  • Career motivated.
