Job Description

Engagement and Development Worker £11,857.50 per annumPart-time, permanent (18.5 hours per week)RochdaleRegenda is now recruiting an Engagement and Development Worker to work with our subsidiary, Petrus, in Rochdale.About the roleThe purpose of this role is to support the development of the Petrus Incredible Edible Rochdale allotment in line with business priorities. You will work alongside the service manager, volunteers and the social and therapeutic horticulture practitioner to engage the wider community and other beneficiaries into activity that support improved physical health and mental wellbeing.The ideal candidate will possess demonstrable knowledge of horticulture principles and practices and be able to teach this knowledge to others. This includes knowledge of methods used in social and therapeutic horticulture. You will be a positive individual who has a determined, can do’ attitude and have experience of supporting and delivering activities to service users, volunteers and groups with varying abilities and skill levels.The successful candidate will understand the issues faced by vulnerable people who are at risk of or are currently experiencing homelessness. You will also have experience of recording outcomes, writing reports and evaluations and be able to present these effectively to stakeholders.An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.About usThe Regenda Group is a great quality, forward thinking housing business, building, managing and maintaining the homes people need.
