Job Description

Tradewind are recruiting for an Early Years Teaching Assistant!Are you looking to work in a fun, dynamic and friendly schoolAre you looking to improve your skills within Early Years supportWe are looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant with SEN experience to support pupils at a special needs primary school in the Rochdale area.To join us and be successful in this Early Years Teaching Assistant - SEN role you will need to:

  • Have experience supporting children in Early Years in some capacity in the last 5 years.
  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one), Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks.
  • Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
The role
  • Early Years Teaching Assistant at special needs primary school in the Rochdale area, within their Early Years department.
  • You will assisting young people aged 2-5 years old with a range of Special Needs, SEN, most of which is un-diagnosed and going through an assessment process.
  • Start ASAP on a full time and long term basis.
  • Hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday.
  • Pay up to £80/day depending on experience & qualification.
  • The school is rated outstanding by Ofsted.
  • Pupils have Autism & other Complex Needs including emotional, learning, sensory & communication difficulties.
  • Its a busy but a well organised and cohesive school with a strong team that supports one another.
  • The Early Years department is a key part of the school as they help in finding the appropriate pathways for each young person.
  • Long term staff have access to training opportunities.
  • Ideally you will have some prior experience supporting children with special needs in some capacity.
