Job Description

Accounts AssistantMiddletonOffice BasedImmediate StartClient DetailsAn excellent opportunity has arisen with a leading consutrction business in Middleton due to a sustained period of growth and company expansion. This business have been growing year on year and have recently won a number of major new contracts making itan excellent time to join the company. They have an excellent repuatation for staff development and rentention making this a highly sought after business to work for.DescriptionThe Accounts Assistant role will be 100% office based and will initially be a temporary assignment which could be extended.Reporting into the Financial Controller Key responsiblities will include:

  • End to end ownership of Purchase Ledger for one statutory entity. This includes processing invoices, making supplier payments, allocating, supplier statement reconciliation and sending remittances.
  • Updating daily cash books and sending weekly cash reports .
  • Paying weekly/monthly subcontractors
  • Raising credit notes for the CIS withheld.
  • Weekly expenses
  • Weekly bank reconciliations
  • Processing daily POs
  • Posting of prepayments. Accruals, fixed asset depreciations.
  • Reconciling revenue in sage to operational KPI reports.
ProfileIn order to apply for the role you should:
  • Have previous experience in Accounts Payable/Purchase Ledger as a minimum
  • Ideally have experience of bank reconciliation
  • Be able to consider a temporary role initially
  • Be able to commute to Middleton office site
