Derbyshire Fire & Rescue have an exciting opportunity for a Training Facilitator to join the team.Location: Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service Joint Training Centre, Coach Road, Ripley.Salary Grade: 6/SO1 (career progression criteria applies) £25,927 - £32,798 per annum(Successful applicants will be eligible to progress to the higher grade of SO1 if they hold either the Level 3 Award in Education and Training or Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement. If these are not held then progression to the SO1 gradewill take place once achieved).Training FacilitatorThe Role:The role is within the Operational Training department. The post holder will deliver training necessary for the acquisition, maintenance, and assessment of competence in relation to National Resilience (NR), Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principle(JESIP), Firefighter Development Program Phase 2 and collaborative working with partner agencies as required by Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service (DFRS).The role requires the post holder to understand the Services requirements in the maintenance of these areas and liaise with other Emergency Services and partner agencies to promote operational preparedness.Training FacilitatorKey Responsibilities:The post holder will be responsible for designing and maintaining training resources suitable for central and workplace training, these will include:- Local and national best practice- Service policies and procedures- Legislation- Post incident evaluationAdditionally there may be a need to assist in other training to assist in the fulfillment of the Portfolio Delivery Plan, Corporate Objectives and Performance Indicators as directed.There will be a requirement for travel within the Service and externally, for which a pool car will be provided.The normal working week is 37 hours however you may occasionally need to work beyond normal office hours.Training FacilitatorBenefits:In return we offer:- Flexible working hours- Family friendly policies- Childcare vouchers- Free car parking- Health & wellbeing services- Discount scheme- Eligibility to join the Local Government Pension SchemeWe are committed to equality and fairness at work.
