Climate Change, Carbon Reduction, Energy Efficiency and Fuel Poverty Project Officer with knowledge and experience of energy efficiency and carbon reduction measures in domestic settings is required for a well-established council based in Ripley, Derbyshire, East MidlandsAs a successful candidate you will join the organisations Housing Team to help tackle climate change and fuel property.SALARY: £26,511 to £29,577 per annumBENEFITS: Flexible working, pension Scheme, free on-site parking, excellent personal and professional development opportunitiesLOCATION: Ripley, Derbyshire (At times you may also be required to work on site or from home)JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Contract (3 Year Fixed-term Contract)WORKING HOURS: 37 hours per weekJOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Climate Change, Carbon Reduction, Energy Efficiency and Fuel Poverty Project Officerwith knowledge and experience of energy efficiency and carbon reduction measures in domestic settings.Recognising that reducing carbon emissions from domestic energy consumption is a priority nationally, the organisation is looking for someone to provide expertise and drive to help them to continue to deliver retrofit schemes and support their efforts toreduce carbon emissions and address fuel poverty at the same time.Working as a Climate Change, Carbon Reduction, Energy Efficiency and Fuel Poverty Project Officer you will be required to complete projects and priorities that support the delivery of the Councils Carbon Management Plan and Climate Change Strategy and associatedpolicies.As a Climate Change, Carbon Reduction, Energy Efficiency and Fuel Poverty Project Officer you will be responsible for helping to support communities to improve the energy efficiency of primarily owner occupied and private rented housing stock and will alsopartner with local housing associations. You will also support and contribute to meeting the Councils target of becoming carbon neutral by 2030 and help to deliver the Councils Carbon Reduction Management Plan.DUTIESYour duties as a Climate Change, Carbon Reduction, Energy Efficiency and Fuel Poverty Project Officer will include but not limited to:
