Job Description

Our client provide project solutions for the water and waste water industry. They are seeking a Commissioning Manager to join their high profile framework immediately, working on HS2 network upgrades and modifications across Affinity Water. This is an initial 6 month contract based in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. This position will require travel to project sites in Hertfordshire as and when required.Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Project Director driving the project forward through the construction phases
  • Ensure all contractual deliverables and milestones are met
  • Integrate the project team through the construction, commissioning and ultimately achieve takeover of the plant
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures
  • Complete work instructions, guide notes and other information that forms part of quality assurance, H&S and environmental management systems
  • Select, train and develop of site commissioning teams
  • Approve draft and subsequent detail documentation, O&M manuals and operating procedures for use of client
  • Assist and update the planning and distribution of the existing commissioning plans for mechanical, electrical and process commissioning
  • Manage the takeover, manual, automatic and performance testing
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with client, project manager and project director
  • Establish and maintain company-wide commissioning standards and systems
  • Provide technical support as required to resolve/feedback information across the commissioning staff
  • Comply with H&S responsibilities
  • Ad hoc duties with the position may be assigned from time to time
    • Key Experience and Qualifications:
  • Ideally have experience working for a recognised main contractor
  • Experience with design and construction of Water and Wastewater projects
  • Proven track record of Commissioning delivery on large to medium sized water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Excellent client management skills
  • Strong experience with driving challenging programmes
