VoIP Support Engineer - LondonAn industry leading VoIP Service Provider based in London is seeking an ambitious and driven Technical Support Engineer to join their Customer Operations Team on a permanent basis. The business is a leader in their field that utilises OpenSource and Cloud technologies (Asterisk) and uses this for its own product range and deployment of omni-channel solutions from Genesys.Joining a growing team of experienced Support Engineers, youll have a varied range of responsibilities in providing technical support and troubleshooting to a wide range SME to enterprise size customers. Great opportunity to expand your technical skillset and responsibilities - this company has an excellent track record or promoting internally.Responsibilities:- Respond to incidents, resolving or escalating when necessary- Ensure that their customers are kept informed and updated during the incident management process- Collaborate with 3rd parties when necessary and escalation with the in-house development teamExperience required:- Experience providing technical support, either working for a service provider or internally- Excellent troubleshooting skills- Experience with VoIP technologies and protocols (SIP)- Strong TCP/IP knowledge- Strong understanding of Routing, Switching and Firewalls- An understanding of Linux- Exceptional customer service skillsAny of the following would be highly advantageous:- Experience with Asterisk and/or Kamalio- Understanding of virtualisation- Experience of liaising with telecommunication carriers- CCNA/CCNP certificationPaying between £30,000 to £36,000 PA plus company benefits.This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual wanting to rapidly progress their career.
