Job Description

An established pharma organisation based in Richmond is looking for a Supply Chain Planner to join their team responsible for monitoring and managing supply chain inventories and ensure supply chain planning is performed.We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2 years experience working as a Supply Chain Planner within the Pharmaceutical industry within the UK. This is essential. This role requires the right candidate to have pharma supply chain experience.Your duties will include:

  • Monthly update of the Master Production schedule for allocated products, for opening stocks, forecasts and outstanding orders with placement of purchase order requirements in line with contractual timelines.
  • Create vendor schedule and send to suppliers with progress checking on overdue deliveries.
  • Set up new products in company systems and ensure order placement delivery dates meet launch requirements
  • Ensure that the Master Production Schedule is updated monthly to reflect opening stocks, forecasts and outstanding orders, liaising with suppliers on a day to day basis and escalating potential issues to the Supply Chain manager, to ensure efficient supply chain activities
  • Resolve day to day issues with 3rd Party Logistics providers, escalating to Supply Chain Manager where necessary
  • Organise transportation for product collection from supply partners (where applicable), and scheduled delivery to 3PLs.
  • Obtain relevant certification for incoming deliveries and send to 3PLs QC dept.
  • Receive delivery Information (including temperature data) from 3PL provider and update stock systems and purchase order records.
  • Liaise with 3PL and analytical laboratory for product sample retention and testing where required
  • Issue weekly stock reports with comments for potential stock issues.
  • Communicate any restrictions on sales to preserve stock when shortages of stock could occur.
  • Prepare and monitor short dated stock and overstock report.

  • A levels or equivalent business experience
  • Experience of supply chain and stock management within the Pharmaceutical industry within the UK
  • Numerate, with excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Analytical with good attention to detail.
  • SAP or SAGE experience
  • Working to GMP and GDP standards
  • Understanding of inter-personal relationships and good communication skills.
  • Effective time management with ability to work under pressure and to tight time deadlines
  • Able to travel to Richmond, London, TW postcode, the company will offer flexible working
