Job Description

Mid sized, fast growing corporate and investment bank within high profile team;Huge global footprint from MidEast market in particular to UK and EMEACentral West London location (hybrid, 3 days a wk in office ideally)Banking & Financial ServiceDescriptionSenior Manager, Financial Reporting and ControlCentral West London location (hybrid, 3 days a wk in office ideally)Banking & Financial Service

  • Develop, monitor and review control activities performed e.g. journal controls, day to day control over balance sheet and P&L, account reconciliations
  • Monthly consolidation and reporting to the Parent Company
  • Co-ordinate and ensure the production of accurate monthly and year-end Statutory Accounts and Annual Report for all UK entities on a timely basis
  • Ensure the Banks Financial Statements meet all disclosure requirements including those related to Climate Risk
  • Ensure all tax reporting requirements are met, including operational and fiscal reporting
  • Handle the Implementation of new products including associated accounting treatment under IFRS
  • Manage the relationship with Internal and External auditors
  • Assist with other Finance projects as they arise
  • Build effective working relationships with business and other support functions
  • Endeavour to minimize processing and enhance efficiency through the use of electronic data. This will include improving and developing existing manual processes in the financial and regulatory reporting team
  • Train and develop junior members of the team by improving system and process knowledge
Risk & Regulatory:
  • Maintain knowledge of all applicable regulatory requirements including the Banks Risk and Compliance policies and procedures and adhere to these to avoid exposing the Bank to undue risk
  • Report policy/procedure breaches and areas of potential non-compliance and suspicions promptly upon identification in accordance with the Banks Risk and Compliance policies
  • Accurately execute all controls within own area to minimise risk of policy, procedure, and/or regulatory breaches
  • Identify new risks/control gaps within own area and escalate accordingly to your Line Manager and/or Head of Department
ProfileSenior Manager, Financial Reporting and Control
  • Experienced qualified accountant with bank background
  • Knowledge of accounting for bank products
  • Ex-Big 4 ideally before a move to Bank
  • Strong hands-on annual reporting/statements and technical accounting IFRS
  • Management of direct team
Job Offer
  • Base from £80,000 to £115,000 for the right person
